Climbing Mossvine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This massive vine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 980 feet (298.7 meters) and growing as high as 693 feet (211.2 meters).

It takes 43 years for the moss green and slate stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 4.4 feet (1.3 meters) and remain soft and fleshy.

The very thin, fuzzy leaves reach up to 1.8 feet (53 cm) in length. They are green with beige tips, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the vine produces clusters of average pastel purple flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces lots of tiny berries.

It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
