Cream Capsule Moss

This cream moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In marshes, and On rotten logs.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is very rigid.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release thousands of spores.
