Climberblue

Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This big flower grows up to 3.8 feet (1.1 meters) tall. Its emerald and olive stem is thick and splits into 7 branching stems at the top, and the small, moss green leaves are grey on the underside and are circular with serrated edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

5 to 11 tiny flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 53 cm (20.9 inches) wide, with solid azure petals and a slate central disk. The flower head is shaped like a cube made up of 17 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. They fall easily.

It has a weak scent that smells like old books, and it has excessive amounts of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.
