Twining Silverbell

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its brown stem is wispy, and the miniature, silver leaves are long, tapering with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

A single medium-sized flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with hazel petals that gradient shift to sky blue on the outer edge. The central disk is ashy green. The flower head is shaped like a cube with 37 tightly layered, narrow petals. They are very delicate.

It has a soft scent that smells like fruity, and it has very little pollen, but can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects , but is also visited by a small species of bird.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
