Emerald Clump Moss

This gray-green moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps On rotten logs.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is very resistant; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release millions of spores.

It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
