Copper Clump Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in large clumps On rotten logs, and In heathlands.
It is big, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is slightly frail.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release hundred of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
