Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This large creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 427 feet (130.1 meters) and growing as high as 72 feet (21.9 meters).
It takes 22 months for the moss green stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 11 inches (28 cm) and remain soft and fleshy.
The broad, flat, waxy leaves reach up to 1.8 feet (56 cm) in length. They are either orange, or light grey with blood red dots, and have rounded edges.
During late spring, the creeper produces several small cream flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces plenty of large berries.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It can survive a very long time without water.
