Bloodwood Pine

This average-sized tree grows up to 52 meters (170.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 647 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, wavy trunk covered in very thick, silky, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the very light wood is brown.

The tangled mess of branches trail down to the ground, with hundreds of twigs covered with large amounts of giant, orange needles. The needles themselves are resilient.

In late summer it produces small, blood red, shelled seeds.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
