Copper Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This enormous vine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,634 feet (802.8 meters) and growing as high as 928 feet (282.9 meters).

It takes 30 years for the copper stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2.9 feet (89 cm) and are smooth and rubbery.

The spear shaped, crispy leaves reach up to 2.3 feet (71 cm) in length. They are cream with cream tips, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the vine produces hundreds of average red flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of tiny fruits.
