Clinging Lemonberry

This massive fruit tree grows up to 72 feet (21.9 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 30 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, wavy trunk covered in very thick, cracked, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the very hard wood is pale brown-grey.

The numerous branches trail down to the ground and are covered with large amounts of large, sickle shaped leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are solid light grey with silver edges.

In early spring, it produces hundreds of medium-sized, blue blossoms with 2 pointed petals. They are very delicate and have a soft scent that smells like lemon.

In early summer it produces , oblong fruit. The waxy aquamarine skin is thick and inedible, and the very soft black flesh is sweet and very dry. The black seed is very large and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
