Copperleaf

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) tall. Its blue stem is wispy and straight, and the miniature, emerald leaves are grey on the underside and are spear shaped with tattered edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 44 cm (17.3 inches) wide, with copper petals and a yellow center. The flower head is largely flat with handfuls of raised narrow petals. They detach easily.

It has the faintest scent that smells like sugar, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also visited by a small species of bird.
