Emerald Tear Moss

This emerald moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas On rotten logs, and In heathlands.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches are exceptionally hardy, and is extremely light.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release millions of spores.
