Flame Moss

This brown moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In moorlands.
It is large, growing up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is overwhelmingly frail; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release thousands of spores.
