Climbing Bluebell

This big flower grows up to 2.2 feet (66 cm) tall. Its sky blue stem is thin and straight with a curved tip, and the large, aquamarine leaves are perforated with serrated edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

1 to 6 medium-sized flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 23 cm (9.1 inches) wide, with petals that are lilac on the underside and sky blue on the top. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 curved petals. They detach easily.

It has an intense scent that smells like vomit, and it has a modest amount of pollen. It is a self-pollinator.
