Copper Blue Ripper

Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its burgundy stem is very thick and splits into dozens of branching stems at the base, and the small, red leaves are very thick with ripped edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

5 to 7 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 5 cm (2.0 inches) wide, with petals that are copper at the sides and blue at the center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 10 petals. They fall easily.

It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like fresh linen, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind and is ignored by most insect species.
