Twining Conifer
Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This modest-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 45 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has numerous stocky, slanted stems covered in thin, silky, yellow bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.
The branches trail down towards the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of large, broad, flat, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are solid light grey or brown, with indigo edges, strong and smooth.
It produces handfuls of medium-sized, sky blue flowers with 9 cylindrical shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like grass cuttings. In early summer it forms giantashy purple aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
