Clinging Goldvine

This short flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its emerald stem is very thick, and the large, lime green leaves are asymmetrical with rounded edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Dozens of medium-sized flowers grow in drooping bunches like grapes. The flowers are 9 cm (3.5 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of gold. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 10 curved petals. They detach easily.

It has a soft scent that smells like a man, and it has very little pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also particularly attractive to butterflies.
