Emerald Clump Moss

This gray-green moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas On rotten logs, On trees, and In bogs.
It is large, growing up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is slightly rigid.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
