Bloodfire Cactus

This short cactus grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The asymmetrical stem is pink-red, and is covered in large amounts of flexible blood red spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 8 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are either aquamarine or copper, with a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 petals. It has a weak scent that smells like wet dog.

The cactus's skin is rock-hard, the light grey flesh is rubbery, and the blue sap is thin.
