Bluebell Bush

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 164 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has several very thick, angular stems covered in fine, ridged, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is yellow-brown.

The branches are short and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of huge, wispy, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are hazel and blue, frail and crispy.

It produces thick bunches of large, sky blue flowers with spear shaped petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like rotting meat. In early autumn it forms medium-sizedorange seed pods.

It is said to be the favourite flower of a legendary person.
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
