Coilwood

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 181 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous very thick, straight stems covered in hard, smooth, gray bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are short and thin that and are covered with sparse amounts of small, spear shaped, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are brown and dark brown, light and clammy.

In late summer it produces a handful of tiny, beige flowers with 9 shield-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have an intense scent that smells like mint.


It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It is extremely resistant to fire damage.
