Copper Vine

This colossal flower grows up to 7.5 feet (2.3 meters) tall. Its copper stem is thin, and the small, yellow-green leaves are needle-like with toothed edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Two tiny flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 39 cm (15.4 inches) wide, with cream petals that gradient shift to cyan on the outer edge. The central disk is cyan. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 40 petals. They are very delicate.

It has a mildly strong scent that smells like pot-purri, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by a small species of bird.
