Brown Spore Moss

This brown moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In heathlands, In marshes, and On trees.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is extremely frail.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release thousands of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
