Copper Spiral Moss

This copper moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas On rotten logs, and In heathlands.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps are exceptionally hardy, and is very flexible; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release thousands of spores.
