Clinging Indigo??

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small fruit tree grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 24 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, wavy trunk covered in fine, rough, silver and white bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is dark brown.

The numerous branches trail down to the ground and are covered with handfuls of tiny, very narrow and elongated leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are either lilac or grey, with dull purple patches.

In early spring, it produces a handful of small, green blossoms with stiff, pointed petals with a tube-like floral cup. They fall easily and have a delicate scent that smells like meat.

In mid-autumn it produces , cross-shaped fruit. The fuzzy pink skin is stretchy and salty, and the crunchy indigo flesh is sweet and salty and sticky. The beige seeds are tiny and are bunched at the bottom of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
