Burgundy Creeper

This modest-sized creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 29 feet (8.8 meters) and growing as high as 123 feet (37.5 meters).

It takes 17 months for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are hard and brittle.

The 8 pointed, crispy leaves reach up to 9 inches (23 cm) in length. They are solid light purple or lilac, with caramel edges, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces large amounts of tiny brilliant orange flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces a few large fruits.
