Aquamerald Spineleaf

This enormous leaf succulent grows up to 150 feet (45.7 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is emerald, and is covered in brittle slate spines. The smooth-edged, pleated leaves are lilac at the bottom and pink with aquamarine edges at the top. Handfuls of them grow from the base in alternating pairs. The leaves are frail, and easily come away when pulled.

It is steady-growing, taking 11 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are orange on the underside and aquamarine on the top, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of several petals in raised layers. It has the faintest scent that smells like cheese.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the blue flesh is leathery, and the cyan sap is thin.
