Clinging Conifer
Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This short tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for over 2,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 2105 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a stocky, crooked trunk covered in cracked, dark gray bark, and inside, the very hard wood is pale brown-grey.
The small clumps of branches are short, thin and wispy, covered with thick bunches of large, vibrant yellow or blue needles. The needles themselves are delicate.
In late summer it produces tiny, silver, winged seeds that float and land far away.
The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
It makes excellent hedges.
It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
