Golden Rain Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In damp forests, In bogs, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is very hardy; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release hundred of spores.
