Caramelvine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 36 feet (11.0 meters) and growing as high as 230 feet (70.1 meters).

It takes 13 months for the caramel and hazel stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are smooth and fuzzy.

The very narrow and elongated, smooth leaves reach up to 1.7 feet (51 cm) in length. They are generally yellow, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the bine produces handfuls of small crimson flowers, and during the mid-autumn, after flowering, it produces plenty of small seed pods.

It coexists peacefully with other plants.
It is frequently struck by lightning.
