Bluebell Vine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 41 years. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has numerous sturdy, straight stems covered in rough, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is copper-coloured.

The branches are very short and slender with thousands of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of small, very thick, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are either pink or sky blue, with pale blue edges, tough and rough.

In mid-spring it produces copious amounts of medium-sized, sky blue flowers with broad, flat petals. They are very delicate and have an overpowering scent that smells like rainy days.

Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
