Bloodbloom

This enormous flower grows up to 13.3 feet (4.0 meters) tall. Its pink-red stem is thick, and the miniature, red leaves are wide with toothed edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Each stem splits 3 to 6 times; a single small flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 102 cm (40.2 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of magenta. The flower head is shaped like a bowl made up of 16 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. They are sturdy.

It has a delicate scent that smells like blood, and it has very little pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is also visited by some specific types of insect.
