Clinging Arbor

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 62 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a very thick, angular trunk covered in wrinkled, burgundy and brown bark, and inside, the soft wood is white with black speckles.

The small handful of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with sparse amounts of clammy, giant, thin leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in gold, bronze and gold varieties.

In late summer it forms large, aquamarine berries.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
