Burgundy Wisperpetal

Flower type: Perennial (Grows the first year, flowers the second year, then dies)

This short flower grows up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. Its burgundy stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 6 and are thin and straight, and split into many branching stems halfway up, and the giant, gray-green leaves are wispy with serrated edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Dozens of large flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 1 cm (0.4 inches) wide, with petals that are sky blue on the underside and beige on the top. The flower head is made up of 12 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cube. They are very delicate.

It has a weak scent that smells like meat, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by insects , but is also visited by a small species of bird.
