Burgundy Moorland Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In moorlands.
It is big, growing up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is slightly rigid.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release hundred of spores.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
The stems are covered in large spikes.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
