Coconutbell Shrub

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 49 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of sturdy, wonky stems covered in delicate, silky, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is yellow.

The branches are very short and thin with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of miniature, broad, flat, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of brown that gradient shifts to peach at the top, frail and clammy.

It produces lots of large, hazel flowers with long, tapering petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like coconut. In early winter it forms smallgold, shelled seeds.
