Biennial Mossgrass

This small, moss green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The thin stalks grow in thin clumps that are strong and tough.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, black flower.

During the mid-summer, it produces lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of small grains.
