Bluevine

This short flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its sky blue stem is very thick and splits into numerous branching stems three quarters of the way up, and the huge, emerald leaves are fan-like with irregular edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

4 to 8 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with brown petals and a yellow center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 53 curved petals. They are sturdy.

It has a weak scent that smells like cinnamon, and it has lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to bees.
