Golden Creeper

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This short creeper is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 15 feet (4.6 meters) and growing as high as 475 feet (144.8 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 5 months for the yellow stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are smooth and slick.

The very narrow and elongated, waxy leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are white at the bottom and bronze with gold splotches at the top, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces a handful of large pink flowers.

It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
