This cream or indigo moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In marshes, In heathlands, and In rainforests.
It is giant, growing up to 11 inches (28 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is very delicate; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
It commonly grows in large patches.
