Blueleaf Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This small tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 315 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, crooked trunk covered in fine, silky, dark brown bark, and inside, the very hard wood is burgundy-brown.

The large clumps of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with handfuls of smooth, huge, spear shaped leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are gray-green with sky blue tips.

In late summer it forms giant, red berries.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.

It is often home to a particular bird species.
It is suitable for making paper
It blooms only at night.
The sap is edible and extremely bitter.
