Emeraldvine

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This huge flower grows up to 11.5 feet (3.5 meters) tall. Its emerald stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 8 and are very thin and straight, and split into several branching stems at the top, and the tiny, washed-out blue or light grey leaves are long, tapering with ripped edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

4 to 6 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 87 cm (34.3 inches) wide, with petals that are beige on the underside and pink on the top. The flower head is made up of several petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight bowl. They are very delicate.

It has a strong scent that smells like garlic, and it has lots of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to a specific species.
