Red Spine Cactus

This modest-sized cactus grows up to 49 feet (14.9 meters) tall. The perforated stem is red, and is covered in lots of rigid brown spines. The cuboid body is bold yellow, and is covered in sharp spines.

It is slow growing, taking 41 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are either crimson or lime, with a yellow center grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a sphere made up of 4 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a strong scent that smells like mint.

The cactus's skin is very thick, the bronze flesh is sticky, and the crimson sap is thin.
