Vineoak
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 550 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a very thick, angular trunk covered in thin, waxy, brown-green bark, and inside, the dense wood is dark brown.
The sparse amount of branches are very long, thin and wispy and are covered with thick bunches of smooth, huge, stiff, pointed leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are either black or vibrant purple, with lime edges.
In early spring, it produces lots of giant, light grey blossoms with spear shaped petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are hardy and have no scent.
In late summer it forms large, bright green seed pods.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
