Blueberry Bush

This small fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 25 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in very thick, smooth, dark green bark, and inside, the very dense wood is pale brown-grey.

The tangled mess of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with small amounts of tiny, wispy leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are washed-out blue on the sides and sky blue at the center.

In early spring, it produces many balls of giant, peach blossoms with cylindrical shaped petals. They are hardy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like rotten meat.

In early summer it produces tiny, long, straight fruit. The hairy azure skin is stretchy and inedible, and the slightly crunchy washed-out blue flesh is bitter and spicy and very juicy. The beige seeds are tiny and are bunched at the top of the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
