Coppervine

This short bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 7 feet (2.1 meters) and growing as high as 136 feet (41.5 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 2 months for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are smooth and rubbery.

The fan-like, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are light red on the sides and copper at the center, and have ripped edges.

During late spring, the bine produces copious amounts of large orange flowers.
