Burgundy Grass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in its stem)

This large, burgundy grass grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The needle-like stalks grow in thin clumps that are rigid and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, sky blue puff.

During the early summer, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of giant grains.

It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
