Crimson Moss

This red moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In damp forests.
It is average-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is very sturdy.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release millions of spores.
