Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)This small, green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The finger-like stalks grow in large clumps that are flexible and they overwhelm an area rapidly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, bronze spikelet.
During the early winter, it produces an average amount of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of large grains.
