Copperfern

This massive shrub grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall and lives for around 13 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of flexible, slanted stems covered in fine, smooth, copper-coloured bark, and the wood inside is burgundy-brown.

The branches are short stubs with thousands of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of tiny, finger-like, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid cyan with beige splotches, frail and waxy.

It produces copious amounts of tiny, brown flowers with many layers of petals. They detach easily and have the faintest scent that smells like vanilla. In early autumn it forms largeslate, spiky-shelled seeds.
